I had what looks like the same issue as you. My Touch never disconnected, but my Radio’s did (after years of no issues) Turns out it was WiFi interference from my neighbors that the old WiFi chip in the Radio couldn’t handle and would disconnect. An Ethernet <> WiFi adaptor solved my problem.
