Many thanks guys, you've been very helpful. I'm inclined to go with the "https" issue, which might also explain other problems from various platforms. I have opened a ticket with my streamers tech support to see if they have a work around.
FYI, the listener came back with details about their kit. It's a Logitech UE Smart radio model 930-000136. Still a bit of a mystery how she arrived at the link. The only way I know for the station to be on there would be in amongst the Tunein listings.
