Not being so quick might have something to do with your very low signal level of -72 dBm, long lasting seems to be independent of signal level. The quick reset might be more effective only with higher signal levels. Sill, even with the low signal lever, 44 (or 40) resets in 30 hours is not so bad, considering that others have experienced 8-12 per hour.
The 0.8.4.1 version from the main branch and release doesn't display the combined quick and full resets clearly.
