A milestone has been reached. It has taken a while, but a compiled
ar6000.ko device driver is now semi-working. This has been delayed by
what was the seemingly simple precedent task of updating the mitigation
script taking until last week. Also, the whole poky, bitbake recipe
thing and insanely long paths were just daunting.

The driver provides a working connection that plays music. When used
with the original firmware, it complains about not allowed ioctls used
by iwconfig, hesitating, then reporting 0 signal strength, noise and
other statistics. It returns all zeros to the wmiconfig –getTargetStats,
and other oddities. Also Squeezeplay reports "no link," although it
shows connections to myscqueezebox.com and the local LMS. The
Squeezeplay ui is sluggish, although top reported the usual ~60% cpu.
Also, the radio was having trouble finding the remote -65 dBm access
point despite any "full reset" of unloading and reloading the driver.
This has not happened before, although it may be a coincidence.
Interestingly, wmiconfig --version does work, reporting:
Driver Rev = 0x22010097(2.2.1.151), ROM Rev = 0x20000188(2.0.0.392),
Firmware Rev = 0x2102003e(2.1.2.62)

The mitigation script calls iwconfig, resulting in irritating serial
console messages, so a new logging script gaplog.sh was created to just
log outages and recoveries. The affected radio has both a serial and
Ethernet connection, so a wlan failure is no problem, and will be
monitored and compared to the other radios for outages, and possible
recovery measures that work.

Now that the host software is compiled and can be debugged, a more
thorough investigation into the wireless connectivity loss root causes
and early mitigation strategies can be made. First, though, the compiled
driver has to be made 100% compatible with the hardware and Squeezeplay,
and, perhaps, with the mitigation script.
