That is a very nice mod,
I'll have to try it on my one of my radio's as they currently run POE run down to 18v (some old Ubiquiti step down converters hacked up then broken out to DC jacks). This is SO much neater. My only question is what sort of heat you get off the unit in use once wrapped up inside the radio?
