Hello, I have this problem too. I used to run my SBR with LMS v7 and then 8.0.0 - 160589207. SBR worked very well. I now have a new LMS installation on an RPI running piCorePlayer v8.1.0. SBR does not connect. In accordance with above quote I wanted to connect my SBR to mysqueezebox.com but it wouldn't let me. I haven't used mysqueezebox.com in a long time but the account is still working. But SBR doesn't appear there. I have no idea about how to connect. I really wish I could update to the user-made firmware version for the SBR. But this is still not possible?
