I have one that occurs fairly rarely where the volume suddenly falls to zero and operating any control restores it until it happens again shortly afterwards. A simple "turn it off and on again" fixes it. I can't remember ever having to disconnect the battery [emoji1696]. Worth a try if all else fails though.
