I think I know the answer to this but looking for confirmation.
Picked up a used Squeezebox radio a few months ago, firmware version 7.7.3 r16676. Factory reset it and connected it to my home wifi. Setup some favorite radio stations on the memory buttons then took it to my work for an office radio. Connected it to our guest wifi network and have been streaming radio stations no problem the last couple months. I came back to work Monday and the wifi icon was red. Power cycled the device several times, looked at the settings and the guest network shows up with IP address etc. I then connected the device to my iphone hotspot and it streamed radio fine (wifi icon was white). Tried connecting to work's guest network and red again. I brought the device home and it connects fine to my home network. Not sure if this is relevant, but work uses Cisco access points. I am unable to use ethernet at work for a guest network and wouldn't dare plug it into the work network.
