I've now tried reverting to the stable (non-lab) firmware, but that didn't fix the problem either. It was probably just a bad coincidence that it occurred almost simultaneously with an update to the router firmware. I have now installed the "'wlanpoke' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?114775-Simplified-instructions-for-Squeezebox-Radio-Wi-Fi-fix-(wlanpoke))" workaround on my radio. That works most of the time.
