Well, it is still a bug, "normal" or not. The syntax does not prohibit it. I happen to think it is a sensible thing to do.
I'm going roughly 0 for 4 on the mailing list. I'm a new user trying to get feedback here -- and there seems to be a sort of reality distortion field going on. I have not had this experience on other open source projects.
