There's still the third option to use `osm.org` along with the current schema: 
`https://osm.org/changeset/157188078`.

In particular for node, way and note, most of the savings can already be 
achieved by replacing `www.openstreetmap.org` by `osm.org`. Your proposal would 
reduce the length by another 10-15%. For your node example, that's 28 chars 
instead of 32.

Both "changeset" and "relation" are both fairly long as a string. At least for 
"relation", a shorter alias "rel" might be something we could discuss.
