I was going to say that we should just get on with backfilling the statistics
rather than adding new and potentially slow methods that fallback to counting
the records but I see what you're saying that this is just for cases where
we're already doing that count anyway and this just makes it more efficient
when we can.
So I think this is good, thanks. Obviously we should still get on with the
backfilling then we can get rid of the fallback!
