The profile map probably doesn’t benefit from globe view, even if the slippy
map on the homepage might. If the map is zoomed out enough that the globe
projection is discernible, chances are that it’s zoomed out too much to see the
pins near your home location. That said, it’s nice to see that the feature is
trivial to enable if warranted.
