This is an interesting point. I have not had issues in any of the environments
I've tried, but I understand there will be use cases that escape me.
One specific case I'm wondering about: @hlfan, I believe you work on Windows?
Would you be able to test this PR and tell us if you had any issues getting
PostGIS working?
@tomhughes - Are there any specific use cases that you have in mind?
