I remember you asked about a freeware sampler for OS X There is a list of plugins here: http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/mac/SOFTWARE_SAMPLERS/freeware/ I haven't used any of these so I cannot testify to quality, however one of them may be prefect for your needs.
