Fortnightly, 6pm, at Carlton Hotel 193-199 Bourke St, Melbourne Melbourne has some great events for people doing interesting things in the web/tech startup space, and the only thing that is seems to be missing at the moment is regular afterwork drinks on a Friday. Feedback from organising the fortnightly Melbourne Jelly has been that there are salaried people who would like an opportunity for more frequent, informal regular meetups after work.
A few of us decided to try and get something up an running (with your help in spreading the word) at the Carlton Hotel in the CBD. We believe there should be more than enough interest in Melbourne. We've started with fortnightly dates to cooincide with the daytime Jelly, but expect it to eventually evolve into a weekly event. Help spread the word and hope to see you there this Friday 7th November. If the weather is good we'll be outside in the courtyard. To make the group recognisable, look for the multicolored hackysack sitting on the table.
