Hello everyone! At the last Melbourne meet up, there was discussion about having Christmas drinks on the second last Thursday of the month, as the last Thursday falls on Christmas day, and, well, we ain't having no meet on that day!
So here's the details: When? 18th of December 2008, starting roughly 6:30PM-7:00PM until whenever. Where? Somewhere close by to where the meet is usually held (i.e. Irish Times, Horse Bazzaar). There'll be no presentations, it'll be like last year, just a good ol' geekery chin wag and some drinks and some food (hopefully!). Last year it was impossible to book anywhere with enough tables for us to have a sit down meal (we managed to eat anyway), but worst case I imagine we could get a table to seat maybe half to one third of us, and we can eat in shifts :P It's that crazy this time of year! If you're keen to have a sit down for food, please RSVP me in the next couple of days (i.e. ASAP), so I can try and get some confirmed seating. Otherwise be there or be square!
