Speaking from experience (mt) and DreamHost both suck ass. (mt) just finished a *2 day* outage one of their storage clusters - but hang on, I thought all this magic cloud grid shit was supposed to save you from having to worry about their hardware ... I'm still a customer of (mt) due to inertia but have been migrating my stuff over to apis networks. http://apisnetworks.com/ruby_on_rails_hosting I can't speak for their Rails hosting as I haven't tried that but my experience thus far (3 months) with everything else (PHP/shell/talking to the owner) has been excellent. They look comparatively expensive as they're not promising 10 gazillion petabytes of storage & bandwidth w/ clouds, grids and rainbows for $10/month but you also seem to be able to actually use what you pay for. :) yun -- (__) Share what you know.
