I've just spoken to Rhian from the Buddha Bar, describing our plans, and she said we're very welcome there. They're happy to join tables as needed, let us use private rooms if we want to give talks, even open early for us (they normally open at 4pm but are happy to open a couple of hours earlier for us).
Ok - beer is not as cheap as the RSL but it's still reasonable (it is a backpackers after all). Plus it's a MUCH nicer space. And out of towners can stay at the backpackers if they choose... What y'all reckon? Shall we try a Saturday afternoon session there?
