Hi Arlen, Sorry if that seems a bit strange, we do get that question a lot. The 2 main reasons recruiters prefer word documents to pdf's is: 1. Our resume databases are not smart enough to read PDF's which means when we run a search using keywords etc candidates with PDF resumes who could be perfect for the job don't come up. 2. When sending a resume to a client we usually add a branded coversheet where we sell specific aspects of your experience, personality, skills and ambition relevant to the position / project / team that the client is hiring for and of course PDF's cannot be edited.
Are you interested in the position or know of any good Ruby Developers interested in a Permanent position it seems to be a very freelance oriented market? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
