To be honest, I was thinking along the same lines as Zubin for the first meeting - rather informal so as to give everyone a chance to meet and greet again, start working out who's interested in giving talks down the track, how frequently people are likely to be able to make subsequent meetings, and all that jazz.
I also figured it would be a chance to see how well the venue suits, without it being a disappointment if it wasn't conducive to presentations, etc. That said, if we have a projector, at least we have the chance to use it if we can. >From what I understood, there are tables, etc. available. I assume there are powerpoints, as the place does provide wifi...
