3d is great fun, but .. consider that far more advanced 3d potential
has been available on the desktop for a while - yet desktop apps are
overwhelmingly still 2d and usually use a minimum of 3d effects.
Mainly because of usability and accessibility realities; presenting
the data in a 2d plane is just more efficient in 99% of cases and 3d
is just garnish.

Revolution? yeah maybe for say, band websites, but I'm sceptical this
is a big deal for anyone trying to develop web apps with complexity
anywhere above trivial.
