Oh hai Nathan :)

As someone who works with Ruby in a corporate environment, I just had
to crack a joke on "the truth" he bears. Look, sure, might apply to a
lot, the majority, half, or whatever other statistics he wants to pull
from anywhere. And I'm not saying he's no one.

But there's also the kind of corporate environment where technical
decisions are not made by people with a business background. The kind
of decision that goes along the lines of "Java scales and is secure,
so I was told in a conference, hence Ruby needs it, full stop, and
you're dumb if you disagree" (not saying that's what Charles said).

See, I just think like this: quote JRuby for it's actual benefits,
which are many I know, rather than the enterprise-ready bull. Suddenly
the whole thing becomes very blurry.

ps: I can't be bothered reading the actual blog post. Even if I did,
that part remains like that bit of that movie "Knowing" where Nicholas
Cage runs into the airplane crash site trying to save people while
they burn to death. Even if the rest of the movie was any good, you
just can't forgive something like that.
