Ok, so I'm not completely off topic, Rhomobile (http://www.rhomobile.com/) lets you run ruby on your iPhone. Your iPhone runs opengl. So you need to learn OpenGL.
Now! I'm trying to gauge how much interest there would be in an OpenGL workshop by Noel Llopis. He's teaching one in Denver as part of the 360iDev conference: http://www.mobileorchard.com/iphone-opengl-programming-training-class/ I think it would be pretty awesome for anyone looking to do 3d graphics on the iPhone. If we get enough interest we can convince him to come over to sydney and run a workshop for us.
