I'm taking a Sensis team up to the big C on Friday and I'm thinking of also doing the one in Melbourne.
Sensis is also making the White Pages government search API publicly available for the event and I'm rolling a very skinny ruby wrapper around it (which is all SOAPy, but I'm just using HandSoap as a thin veneer). The tech group is tring to convince the rest of the business of the benefits of opening up our APIs. We are also trying to get WhereIs keys for those who may want to use a non Google (gasp) maps. Any interest? But if that one only finishes at 7:30, should be time to catch the pub... err I mean the tail end of the RoR meet :P Anyone else in the RoR community going to the canberra govhack, or coming along to the LP/govhack day in Melbourne? cheers Julian Doherty 2009/10/26 Ross Hill <[email protected]> > > Hey guys, > > I just wanted to forward the invite for this Thursday in Melbourne, > and also make sure you're aware of Govhack Canberra (govhack.org) - it > would be awesome to be able to talk with you about what's possible and > what sort of data you want to be able to play with.
