Thanks everyone that came to the Hack Night and made it such an enjoyable
evening of hacking!

A quick rundown for those unfortunate enough to not have made it.

16 hackers turned up (a good manageable number) and we used the OpenHack
format:

As we waited for stragglers to arrive we had beer and pizza and discussed
what to hack on for the evening. Hackers proposed a project and then we all
picked which project to work on. We probably worked on half the proposed
projects.

We decided on a minimum team size of 2 and a maximum of 4, primarily for
socialibility and variety of projects. This worked well.

We started coding at about 7ish and finished up at around 9:30 with all the
teams presenting what they worked on. We had the following projects:

- XMPP Sinatra presence notification (Gabe and Myles)
- Hubris: the Ruby Haskell bridge (Mark and Daniel)
- Tweetmindme: a twitter based calendar bot (Gareth and Chris)
- Capistrano for migrating DBs and assets (Enrico and Dave)
- Rant-O-Mania: a boorish Sinatra app for anonymous ranting (Richard, Simon,
James and myself)
- Brains (Chris, Carl, Jeremy and Josh)

We were done by 10ish and some hardcore hackers went to the pub and the more
sensible hackers went home.

I'll leave it up to the teams to publish github projects, URLs and more
project info.

Until next time,
Josh

PS The only thing that marred the evening was an unfortunate beer spilling
incident, but I've promised the individual responsible that I won't publicly
name and shame...
