Smallish Melbourne based web-tech company with an excellent app and
strong growth seeks an experienced, smart and passionate Ruby
developer for fun coding challenges in a full-time ongoing relationship.
BlocksGlobal are on the lookout for shiny new Ruby developers to help
us keep pushing our marketing tool as well as tackle a range of other
new Ruby projects.
Who are we?
You may know of us through our alter-ego Square Circle Triangle, where
we have been busy working in web-land for 10 years and ruby-land for
the last 4 years. Our digital marketing app Blocks is currently used
by major Australian public companies, and advertising agencies to
manage their online marketing programs, and we are looking to expand
significantly over the next 6-12 months. This means you will be
jumping on board at a really exciting time as we look to rollout new
tools in the social media / analytics space, further advance our
API's, as well as tackling infrastructure automation processes. If
you want to work at a place where you get to solve challenging
technical problems from the browser to the server cluster with a
growing dedicated team then we might be a beautiful match for each
other.
We have a great studio in Melbourne (Fitzroy) with all the standard
cliche requirements from the pool table to the espresso machine to
nice big juicy Macs. Of course, we follow our own agile process (that
poaches mostly from Scrum).

Have a proven background (commercial or otherwise) in delivering high
quality projects.
Have a proven background in system operations / Automation / Very
solid *nix know-how
Have a history in (BDD|TDD) development.
Can seamlessly switch between Javascript/Ruby/Shell + others
