I've been running a site for a while now without any of this kind of protection. It's getting pretty annoying when someone hammers our site and takes all our content. Some Googling hasn't come up with much usefulness.
I'm not even sure yet which approach I'd like to take - blocking, throttling, fudging the data to be garbage, captchas. Any ideas?
