Hi Patrick

First off, I don't have any job offers... but I just want to share a few tips 
to help becoming more involved in the community (Ruby, Melbourne, whatever).

* If you're not already coming along to Melbourne Ruby meets, that's a great 
thing to start with. Of course, it is only once a month (last Thurs of each 
month), so...
* Inspire 9, a co-working space in Richmond, is usually full of interesting 
people, a good number of which are Rubyists.
* Jelly happens every fortnight on Fridays, at various venues. Again, not all 
Rubyists, but a great mix of people.

At the very least, you'll be able to take advantage of the shared knowledge of 
these groups, and it may lead to job leads in the future. Good luck!
