Description of the job: Working in a self-organised, multi-discipline Agile team, you'll use cutting edge test tools and your keen eye for detail to plan and conduct functional and acceptance testing of our web and mobile applications. You will be an advocate for a high standard of user experience. You'll contribute to the planning of projects, work with developers to ensure that products work as expected and create a killer suite of automated testing tools and environments. You will be reporting to the Software Development Manager. Experience required: 4 – 10 years of experience in software testing Solid skills in at least one scripting language (preferably Ruby) Experience with automated testing tools, such as Selenium, Watir or FitNesse Enjoys working in an Agile team using Scrum and XP practices Excellent communication skills Description of the company: They’re one of Australia’s largest household name websites, seeing over five million hits per month. Our client is a market leader in website solutions, their main business is to create easy-to-use software that allows clients to manage and export information to 40+ portals, generate marketing material, manage workflow, report, and ensure best practices are followed, whilst using the latest and greatest. Location: Sydney CBD Remote vs. On-site: On-site work only... The pay: I met with the Development Manager last week and their approach is to hire the best and to pay for the best (within reason), so at the moment there are no set guidelines for salary. I’d say roughly around the $70-$80k mark, but like I said this is negotiable. Type of role: It’s a permanent position.
