Greetings, I mentioned we’re hiring during the October RORO meet in Sydney. Here’s a little more info for those who may be curious.
HubOnline is part of REA (realestate.com.au). If you’ve heard about us then no doubt you’ve heard we’re into Rails in a BIG way. We have a lot of work in the pipeline. We’re building up our Sydney team and we have a real need for more Rails experience. (You may have seen some postings to the RORO community from REA in Melbourne as well.) We’re unleashing some brand new Rails Apps. Think of an envelope being pushed. We’re also re-writing some of our older ASP apps in Rails. But it’s not just any old rewrite. Think Godzilla meets Bambi (Bambi is the old system). You also probably know that we’re seriously Agile. And why wouldn’t we be?! We work closely with teams throughout REA as well as companies like Thoughtworks to ensure we have great products, great practices, and a depth of experience to draw from. We’re also into BDD and TDD. We think this work-life-balance business is important. We have regular hack time and are forging an environment where coming to work is really quite enjoyable. Cultural fit is really important to us. If you’ve got several years Ruby or even if you’re relatively new to Ruby but have some serious skills in some of the other usual suspects – HTML, CSS, Javascript, Perl, Java, MySQL, or even (gulp) ASP – then get in touch. We’re looking for both Senior Devs with Solution Architecting under their belt as well as Software Devs who have large systems experience. When do we want you? Well, now is good for us. Permanents are also good but we’d consider a short term contract with a view to go permanent once we both know we like each other. If you’re interested, please send me your CV and availability date. No Agencies please. I'll call you. Cheers Darren [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby or Rails Oceania" group.
