About us: We are a small company and have a startup feel (although we are actually quite well established and have a subscription application with a few thousand users). We build a real estate CRM and real estate websites (inc. mobi and ipad apps). Our main CRM is in PHP but we are rebuilding/augmenting this with Rails 3. We are considering heavy JavaScript with backbone.js. We follow Agile methodologies (Scrum). We have four developers and can all take on operations duties when needed. I'm the team lead and one of the four and feel lucky to be part of one of the best and smartest teams I have worked with. We have a dedicated designer and a dedicated tester, we also have 2 support staff. Our office is located in Albert Park (Melbourne) and we are located next to great cafes and heaps of choices for lunch spots (including Andrews burgers!). About you: You would be a Ruby or RoR developer. You would see TDD as part of life. You would be great at CSS/HTML and be pretty handy with JavaScript. You can handle the command line and wouldn't fear operational tasks. You would be happy to contribute to open source projects and help create new ones. You would be interested in learning things that you may not know such as HAML, SASS, Redis, CoffeeScript, Solr, backbone.js, etc. What we can offer: A permanent on-site position offering up to $100k.
