Ruby Rails Developer • 5+ years of professional experience designing and developing software applications, • Minimum of 3 years recent experience developing Ruby On Rails (RoR) apps >= 2.0. • Strong understanding of web standards, front-end web programming, and modern client-side engineering • Strong knowledge of a wide range of web technologies (RESTful API’s, JSON, XML, AJAX, JQuery). • Strong understand of multi-tenant application frameworks and design • Experience using Git version control • Understanding of Cloud Computing services and associated technologies • Proficient in implementing and/or consuming Web Services • Strong Agile Software development skills.( SCRUM , Iterative software development, XP) • Familiar with a Unix/Linux development environment Stronger Candidates Will Have Experience With: • NoSQL Databases such as MongoDB, Redis or Cassandra • Messaging Frameworks such as RabbitMQ • Advanced JavaScript knowledge, preferably with jQuery • Provisioning and managing Amazon Web Services (S3 & EC2) • Automated testing & continuous integration frameworks (such as Cruise Control or Hudson) • Experience with database optimization • Familiarity with sophisticated JavaScript MVC frameworks ( preferably Backbone.js ) • Strong understanding of what “Platform as a Service” is -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby or Rails Oceania" group.
