Hi. We're Ennova and we like to think we build great software. We're a software consultancy and startup product shop up north in Brisbane. Our primary focus is building Envision, a web-based construction project management tool aimed at on-site personnel, like supervisors and project managers. Our product takes all the information that is normally shared in whispers and puts it in a web app, where it can be used to save money, save time and increase efficiency.
That's our product. In addition to creating a wonderful product, we offer a bespoke consultancy service, providing software development services to our outstanding clients. We're involved in everything from finance to real estate to cloud-based hosting. We're a close-knit team. We eat lunch together, walk to the office together, go for ridiculous amounts of coffee breaks together and we're honest with each other. We work on each other's personal projects and we pair on company projects. We're pragmatic about the application of Agile - we have to be, we're a startup. Over all, we're in this to develop our product. We understand that helping construction sites save money and time by properly planning and talking about their projects isn't sexy, but we love it anyway because it's useful (and beautiful) and people are starting to love our product as much as we do. Because of this, we're scaling up. If you like all the things we like and you like solving highly complex problems, come and work with us. We want you - whether you are a graduate or have had a lifetime of experience. For those who like a checklist, we'd like you to have: - Experience developing complex web applications - Experience designing systems based around OO architecture - Experience working in an Agile and TDD environment - A willingness to work with a distributed team - The ability to understand and be understood well by others It would be great if you also had: - A level of comfort working with our business guys to identify and develop product features - Experience delivering working software iteratively (we release every week or so) - Experience in writing front-end code (Javascript chops would definitely be a plus) - Experience with Rails (we care more about your thinking skills rather than your language-specific skills) - Experience with git Anyone interested should send us the following: - An email telling us who you are and what you've done. - Links to some hackities or open-source contributions you've done. - (If you're so inclined) A resume and a list of people who will sing your praises. We're in Brisbane, but if you're not, that's not a dealbreaker. Come up to the sunny north if you're looking for a change! We'll pay you what we both agree to, so contact us at [email protected].
