Hi Ben, I actually came here about a year ago trying to rustle up some friendships with other devs on Skype (but kinda failed).
I'm a freelance web dev living in Coffs Harbour, NSW - so meetups are nigh. But I did attend the last RailsCamp #9 - and I highly recommend it! After failing to convert my employer to Rails (they're stuck on PHP) I'm moving my interests to JavaScript - there's just so much innovation happening; reminds me of Rails a few years back.
