Sorry this is late Arunan, but if your guys are still pushing you to
deploy on IIS and you want some notes flick me an email. I had to
deploy a couple of sites to IIS last year for a couple of American
customers that just refused to consider anything else. Pretty sure I
can dig up my notes if you want them.

The guys above are mostly right though, in comparison it runs like a
dog no matter how much you tweak it, but to be fair the only gems I've
had major issues with on windows have been gems associated with
development/testing like earlier versions of nokogiri and gherkin. The
gem coverage on windows is actually pretty good these days.
