It's about how Object Role Models (and other forms of fact-based modelling such as in my Constellation Query Language) can help in bridging the communications divide between business and IT. This communications gulf, which Martin Fowler refers to as the Yawning Crevasse of Doom is the primary cause of software project failures and blowouts, so anything that can help bridge it is worthwhile. Data folk are not normally seen as able to help, which is a pity, because they should be.
