Hi all, I have just stumbled onto this group and I just thought that I would send out a quick intro.
My name is Martin Ong and I have just recently started a new career at PRA, an ITC recruitment specialist but I come from a development background. I have worked in a variety of different areas within the industry but love working with code, Google products and new technologies. I am a big fan of the Open Source communities in all its forms but mainly come from a PHP development background. Since starting at PRA, I have been hearing heaps about Ruby from both candidates and clients so Im putting the effort in to learn whats so great about RoR and Ruby in general. Any hints and tips to a good starting place would be greatly appreciated but as with any language, Im putting hours in on the main Ruby documentation to help me get my head around the language. Any other suggests for a good place to start? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby or Rails Oceania" group.
