I've worked for myself for around 8 years now. In that time, I've evolved from doing 3d animation for web games into lately (last 2 years) doing a fair bit of Ruby on Rails work.
I'm now pretty comfortable with the basics of the framework. For some insight to where I'm currently at, here's a Facebook slot game app I just completed (Rails, Javascript, CSS...) https://apps.facebook.com/madelucky/ - But, I definitely don't want to get stuck down the hole of working on Facebook slots! I want to broaden my skill set beyond what I can teach myself in my attic and am after some mentoring (and am happy to pay for it). Specific areas that I need to improve with are: Code design RSpec, Jasmine, and testing procedures in general (knowing what to test) Database structures and optimisation Deployment Any leads much appreciated!
