I ended up going through Try Ruby (_why not? see what I did there?)
RFZ1 and 2 and Rails Best Practices and was sufficiently studied out
[1] that I'd thought I'd shell out the 9 bucks for a month so I can go
through the others over the next few weeks. [2]

[1] Remember, I'm stuck on 1.8.7/2.3 in my day job, so "asset
pipeline" is like Klingon to me.
[2] Seems they have a discount for the free-weekenders, however it
increases after the first month.
