First up, I wanted to recognise that this list helps recruiters like me. In the spirit of giving back, someone in the community can have my spare Railscamp ticket. If you missed out on the initial offering and can get to Queensland, let me know. First in best dressed: http://lookahead.com.au/contact
*[JOB] Senior developer / CTO - Sydney - Flexible work arrangement* *Short version:* - Senior developer at a startup. You're CTO by default. Huzzah! - Work from an office, home, wherever you function best. - Choose your own computer, as long as it runs OS X. - Salary ~$120K + Super. - [email protected] * * *Moar detail:* A startup based in Sydney is searching for their first in-house engineer. We're expecting a full stack developer but understand that you can't know everything. As long as you have the right cultural fit, Ruby on Rails experience and know a lot about either back end or front end development, we'll hire to fill in the gaps. That's the beauty of being the first on board! A beta version of the application has been built by a small, yet awesome external team. There will be a generous amount of handover time and you'll also get to call on them if you need to in future. They built the app using Rails 3, RSpec, Cucumber, Capybara and MySQL hosted on Engine Yard. The front end uses Haml, Sass and Compass. The mobile front end was built using CoffeeScript and Spine js. *The offer:* They're offering the best equipment money can buy, a flexible working arrangement and a salary up to $120K + Super. The plan is to bring an employee on board and pay them a good salary. Over time, there will be an option for you to take an equity position in the business and effectively become technical co-founder. They don't have an office but understand that you might want to work alongside other technical people. We would happily pay for a space that you can use at theworkben.ch, fishburners.org or somewhere else. Curious? Say hello. I'm a recruiter that's actually technical and am happy to share more detail with anyone who is interested.
