Lambda Software is a medium sized software development house based in Collingwood, Vic, that works with government departments, large corporates, mid-sized business and not-for-profits to bring their IT ideas to life. We are involved in all aspects of software dev so all our team members are experienced in everything from pre-sales and requirements gathering to development and deployment. We apply SCRUM in our everyday work, with a strong emphasis on team collaboration and TDD.
Our work is highly varied, requiring us to be experts in a large variety of platforms, with our main development platforms being Rails, iOS and .NET. Some of the projects we are working on at the moment include an extended calendar application for schools, a poker website, a management system for sports simulators and an iPhone application for farmers markets. As a Lambda Software team member you will be working on two or three projects at the same time, meaning it's always interesting and you are always learning. We have a strong culture at Lambda Software, regularly heading out for drinks on a Friday night. We have a tech talk at the end of every month where we eat pizza and drink beer and two team members give talks on technical topics that interest them. We are currently looking for a mid-level to senior dev to join the Lambda Software team full-time. Things we'd like applicants to have are: - Expert knowledge of Rails, iOS or .NET - 4+ years developing software in a commercial environment - Experience working in an Agile and TDD environment - Ability to work side-by-side with customers - Experience working within a team environment - A desire to produce high quality software and help those around you to do the same - A desire to learn Bonuses would be: - Experience in any of our platforms that aren't your specialty - Experience in managing projects and development teams - Infrastructure and deployment (AWS, Heroku, App Store) knowledge since we do all our own devops and deployment - Experience with Jenkins and Git - Contributions to the open-source community Work hours are flexible. Salary will be negotiated based on experience.
