"The abysmal state of MRI's developer toolchain is just another reason to use JRuby or Rubinius." I know that using JRuby enables you to use tools that can be used on any JVM language, but what does Rubinius give you that other implementations don't have? I came across http://rubini.us/2013/03/20/profiling-jitted-ruby-code-with-oprofile/ , but showing how Rubinius does stuff is only somewhat interesting to someone who doesn't use Rubinius in production.
