Hi everyone,

GetUp is looking for a developer to join our team of 5. We’re open to
considering senior or junior candidates.

About GetUp

GetUp is a non-profit which mobilises Australians around social justice,
protecting the environment and human rights. This is done through building
stronger democratic participation, holding power to account and progressive
campaigning. We currently have campaigns to protect Medicare, stop the
dredging of the Great Barrier Reef and save the ABC on behalf of our
600,000+ members. More at http://vision2014.getup.org.au/ and
<http://www.getup.org.au/>http://www.getup.org.au <http://www.getup.org.au/>

Our office is in Surry Hills, near good food, coffee and Central station.

Tech Landscape

Our main codebase is written in Ruby on Rails with RSpec and Capybara
tests, and a fully scripted cloud environment using AWS/Cap/Rake/Sprinkle.
Our site has bursty high traffic, peaking at more than 1400 pages/min. We
deploy to production multiple times a week. We also build tactical tools
for campaigns including Javascript apps, mobile apps, Facebook tools and
interactive data-driven sites.

Our team uses an agile approach with a card wall, burn up chart, backlog,
stand-ups and retros along with a CI server, build light and dashboard.

About You

We're look a full-stack developer who is happy to move between technologies
as needs be, and is passionate about a chunk of the campaigns we run at
GetUp. Interest/skills in A/B testing and data science are a plus.

If this sounds like something you’d like to chat more about, reply to me or
mail applications to [email protected].

Cheers

James Crisp

Tech Principal - Getup
