I am looking for a Rails Developer as our first in-house development hire. You would work with me day to day on our Spree-based ecommerce application, using all of the usual suspects including git, rspec, postgres, sidekiq. We also have some interesting projects coming up to integrate inventory management, migrate our deployment to 'something docker' and implement some 'big-data' trend analytics. Tests are ... scarce ... and a definite focus is to help me improve test coverage and overall code quality. We're a startup, so there is also plenty of scope to wear some different hats and move into more focused front-end or ops depending on your preferences as we grow. We have an office in Sydney, we have flexible work policies and I am totally open to remote work for the right candidate. The ideal candidate is of medium to senior experience. I am also open to people with solid knowledge of Rails but limited experience. Part of the F&P culture is creating opportunity and building talent.
