Hi,

Marketplacer (formerly The Exchange Group) are hiring!

We are in the process of splitting our Ruby on Rails 4.2 application in to
smaller, service-based parts. One of the challenges we are facing is moving
from a Rails based library of jQuery and AngularJS components to an
"isomorphic"[0] node/React based service oriented approach.

We're after somebody who wants to take a leadership role in developing new
components with React and porting jQuery, Angular.JS and pure-Ruby sections
to React where appropriate.

Here's a few reasons why working for us is awesome:

   - We'll pay for you to go to conferences and camps (we've previously
been to CampJS & RubyConf, and we're heading to RailsCamp in June)
   - You'll be in a small team, and you'll have direct input in to the
   architectural & design decisions made
   - We're profitable, stable, and responsible for popular sites like
   www.bikeexchange.com.au and www.tinitrader.com.au
   - Our large, well furnished office is in South Melbourne and is near the
excellent cafes of Bay St and only a couple of minutes walk from the 109
tram. You'll be provided with a top-of-the-line laptop or desktop (Apple or
otherwise) and any software that you need to do your job.

You are very confident with:

   - Web-facing Javascript, preferably AngularJS and/or React
   - Responsive Design techniques & CSS3

Experience with the following will also be useful:

   - Server-side Javascript using node.js or io.js
   - Ruby on Rails (of any version)
   - Go
   - ElasticSearch
   - Docker
   - Agile or Scrum team environments

The position is full time, permanent and on site.

[0] I don't mind what you call it, as long as we all call it the same thing.
