Hi everyone, RubyConf AU is getting closer! Great conferences take a lot of work, especially on the day itself - and we rely on the people in our amazing community to help us out. We need people for a variety of tasks from managing speakers to handing out tickets to assisting those who need extra help. As a volunteer, you will be able to join the conference for free, but we do ask that you cover your own costs for travel. If you'd rather just join us as an attendee, we still have tickets available on our website <http://rubyconf.org.au/2016>. Thanks to Cogent and ThoughtWorks, we have 10 sponsored tickets available for people who otherwise would not be able to attend RubyConf. The sponsored program offers financial support to people from underrepresented groups in our community, and successful applicants will receive conference tickets and some travel expense assistance. Growing and fostering diversity in our community is a major focus of Ruby Australia.
