As a senior Ruby engineer on the monitoring team, you'll be working on the applications and micro-services that Bulletproof depends on to track, alert and report on the availability and performance of our rapidly growing customer base as well as helping shape a bold future of high resolution metrics, pattern detection and alerting on a constantly evolving and diverse set of services. About You You're an expert in Ruby internals, having developed a multitude of different applications over your 5+ years in the industry. You have an understanding of the monitoring problem space and a strong systems/devops bent, having worked with several different monitoring and performance management tools. You care strongly about the quality of the code you and your teammates deliver, and you have a solid understanding of test-driven development, the testing pyramid and continuous delivery. You're an excellent communicator, and you're comfortable mentoring and coaching other developers, as well as working with product managers, scrum masters and business analysts to develop and execute a vision. You have strong, well-founded opinions about how to develop large-scale data processing applications, and are able to translate these opinions into action within a Lean and Agile (Scrum) team.
