As we prepare to leave for the annual Kit Carson Chapter's FCF Family
Camp, I am pondering on this poem:
Have you ever sat 'round the campfire
when the wood has fallen low
and the embers start to whiten
from the fire's crimson glow?
Have you ever felt more nearer
to the land of hearts desire,
than when you sat there thinking
with your face toward the fire.

This is the final "event" for the chapter for the year. Hard to believe
the summer has already come and gone. All in all, though, the summer
brought many fun filled adventures for the Rangers, especially the
District Camporee (Pow Wow), where many boys were saved and filled with
the Holy Spirit.
