I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself. I'm Sr. Commander at Grace Chapel in
Tucson, AZ. Outpost 48. I was on this list a couple of years ago but dropped
out due to health and time constraints. I had Hep-C, Chirossis of the liver,
Diabetes, all diagnosed in the same month. I am happy to report that I have
been virus free for a little over 1 year and am believing the Lord for total
healing. Just recently my energy levels have returned to a livable condition
and I am back at work. I run 2 businesses. I'm a Painting Contractor and
also repair and build Computers. ABBA Computers is our name which is named
after my heavenly Father. My wife was diagnosed a month later with breast
cancer and had a mastectomy along with Chemo & radiation.
Believe it or not it was a trying time but was very rewarding as we both
clung to the Lord with our last ounces of energy and He sustained us in a
miraculous way. We lived by His grace and His Spirit.
To know Christ and the fellowship of His suffering is a level that you never
wish for but once there you learn things you never would any other way. He
becomes your whole source of everything- joy, strength, etc. When I thought
I couldn't go any lower He showed me that I was just starting to rest in His
everlasting arms and that HE was holding me.
Some friends confided in me later that they thought I was close to dying
because of the way I looked. I was anemic, also. Now everyone makes comments
about how much better I look. I just smile.
My wife & I went to Hawaii this summer and celebrated our 25th Anniversay.
It was wonderful. I can say that God has saved my soul years ago but He also
saved my life from destruction. I would be dead by now if I didn't become a
Christian and quite my old lifestyle of drinking, etc.
Friday nights (tonight) are our RR meeting nights. I had a new Pioneer that
I picked up. His mother is single and he was very well behaved. He needs a
male role model and I was blessed to be able to interact with him. A bunch
of us went to IHOP after Rangers and he sat right next to me. I can tell
that he is like a sponge- absorbing everything he can. His mother is a new
Christian.
